Can you do...........?
The most frequent question I receive from prospective clients is “Can you do…?” And it is true, over the years I have learned and taught myself many different aspects of this trade. With over 30 years experience in the Fine Arts and 10 specifically in restoration, I can do most anything related, and if I can’t or think that someone can do better, I will outsource that aspect of the project to a respected and amazing craftsman who can.

How long is project turnaround?
There are so many variables involved in the answering of this question and it is impossible to cover them all here. On average, a piece usually takes 4 weeks. Sometimes elements are shipped from far away places and needed materials are out of stock. Once in a while, a very demanding and intricate project can take a month or two. It all depends on what each client needs. Usually a return date is able to be provided upon initial contracting but if I cannot return your piece on agreed time frame I let the client know as soon as I do. Your piece won’t get lost, and all are very important to me.

How do I choose the right finish?
Your project is a custom situation from beginning to completion. This also includes the process of choosing the perfect finish. Upon request, after a discussion with the client and at their request, I can produce three to five samples for you to choose from that are made and approved before actual hands on work begins. Samples are not made before contracting. An appointment will be made where we go over and you choose from samples provided. There are no surprises with my work and you never will go home with your project unless you are completely satisfied with the result.

How involved will I be in the process?
Good Restorer-Client communication is critical in ensuring that your experience with The Restoratory is an excellent, memorable, and hopefully repeat one. The Answer is, simply, you can be involved as much as you want to be. My greatest joy and satisfaction in doing what I do is lending my skills to your service to achieve the results that you are dreaming of! I want to know everything you are willing to share along the way.

What is your service area and how will my piece get to you?
Two questions in one! I currently service The Memphis Metropolitan area, Northwest Mississippi, and Northeastern Arkansas. Depending on size of project and preference of client, work can be done on site (as is usually the case with dining tables) can be brought to my shop, or if piece is of reasonable size and within a reasonable distance I can pick it up and return it to you. Each client works out with me what their preferences are.
